Seasalt Café & Deli

12 Week Certificate Course, September 2009

Jacquie O’Dea completed the Ballymaloe Cookery School 12 Week Certificate Course in September 2009. After several years of planning and searching for the right location, she and her husband, Henry, opened Seasalt Café & Deli together in February 2019.

Located at 17 Casement Square in the heart of Cobh, Seasalt overlooks the harbour and is known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere. The café retains original 18th-century floor tiles and tall windows, giving the space a bright, characterful feel that visitors love.

Jacquie and Henry run Seasalt as a true family business. They prepare fresh, seasonal food with a strong emphasis on local produce, quality ingredients and sustainability. Most dishes are made in-house, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available, and all takeaway packaging is fully compostable. Together, they offer breakfast, brunch, lunch and a deli selection, reflecting their shared commitment to simple, delicious cooking rooted in good ingredients.

Cobh is a beautiful harbour town, and Seasalt has become a much-loved stop for both locals and those exploring the area.
